Official Sweepstakes Rules
NO PURCHASE OR PAYMENT OF ANY KIND IS NECESSARY TO ENTER OR WIN THIS SWEEPSTAKES. A PURCHASE DOES NOT IMPROVE YOUR CHANCES OF WINNING.
This Sweepstakes is governed exclusively by the laws of the United States and the State of Texas. You are only authorized to participate in this Sweepstakes if you are located within Florida, North Carolina, Oklahoma, Tennessee, Texas, or Virginia and are 18 years of age or older at the time of entry. This Sweepstakes is void where prohibited by law.
SWEEPSTAKES & SPONSOR. This Sweepstakes (this “Sweepstakes”) is sponsored by Es Vedra Cinemas LLC, 6011 W. Courtyard Drive #125, Austin, Texas 78730 (“Sponsor”). This Sweepstakes should not be published without the written permission of Sponsor.
SWEEPSTAKES PERIOD. Sponsor will accept entries to this Sweepstakes during the “Sweepstakes Period.” Monday, June 30, 2025, at 10am Central Standard Time (CST) to Monday, July 7 at 11:59pm Central Standard Time (CST).
ELIGIBILITY. This Sweepstakes is open only to legal residents of Florida, North Carolina, Oklahoma, Tennessee, Texas, and Virginia who are eighteen (18) years of age or older as of the date of entry (each an “Entrant”). Employees, officers, directors, and representatives of Sponsor and each of its parents, subsidiaries, affiliates, and related companies and their respective advertising and promotion agencies, consultants and agents, as well as immediate family members and/or those living in the same household of each such person, and any others engaged in the development, production, execution, distribution, or prize fulfillment of this Sweepstakes, including (without limitation) Sony Pictures (collectively, the “Sweepstakes Entities”) are not eligible to participate. “Immediate family member” means spouse, child, parent, sibling, or in-law of any of those relations. This Sweepstakes may only be entered in or from Florida, North Carolina, Oklahoma, Tennessee, Texas, or Virginia; entries from elsewhere are ineligible. Void where prohibited, taxed, or restricted by law. All federal, state, and local laws and regulations apply.
HOW TO ENTER & OPT OUT. There are two (2) ways to enter this Sweepstakes:
SELECTION OF POTENTIAL PRIZE WINNER(S) & ODDS. On or about one (1) day after the Sweepstakes Deadline, a representative of Sponsor will select the potential prize winner(s) in a random drawing from all eligible entries. The odds of winning will depend on how many eligible entries are received.
To be eligible to receive a prize, an Entrant must either have an address on file with the Sponsor, provide an address when prompted at the time of entry, or provide an address when contacted by Sponsor after being selected as a potential prize winner. Any Entrant who is unable to provide or has an incomplete address will be disqualified.
PRIZE(S). Each participating Entrant will be eligible to win one (1) of the following prize(s):
An F1: The Movie poster signed by director, Joseph Kosinski, which has an approximate retail value ("ARV") of $150 USD.
Entrants can follow Sponsor’s social media accounts on Facebook or Instagram @hookyentertainment and make a comment or public post that both: (i) answers the question: Who is your favorite F1 team? and (ii) includes the following hashtag: #HookyF1Sweepstakes. Sponsor will only consider entries posted on social media before the Sweepstakes Deadline.
Entrants can send an email to contest@hookyentertainment.com with the subject line “Hooky F1:The Movie Giveaway” and request to enter this Sweepstakes. Sponsor will only consider email entries received before the Sweepstakes Deadline.
Regardless of the entry method used, there is a limit of one (1) entry per Entrant for the entire Sweepstakes Period. Any attempt by an Entrant to enter more than once, including (without limitation) by using different identities, social media accounts, or methods, will void the Entrant’s entry and may disqualify the Entrant from this Sweepstakes. Entries submitted by anyone other than the Entrant are void.
Neither Sponsor nor any Sweepstakes Entity will be responsible for any entry that is lost, late, stolen, mutilated, incomplete, invalid, unintelligible, misdirected, or undeliverable, whether due to system error, omission, interruption, defect, delay in operations or transmissions, theft, destruction, technical failure or malfunction, telecommunications failure or malfunction, human error, insufficient network connection, typographical error, or otherwise. Only fully completed entries are eligible. Proof of submission will not be deemed proof of receipt by Sponsor or any Sweepstakes Entity.
To opt out of this Sweepstakes, Entrants can send an email to contest@hookyentertainment.com requesting to opt out of this Sweepstakes.
ARV is subject to price fluctuations, including (without limitation) fluctuations based on any gap in time between the date ARV is estimated for purposes of these Rules and the date a prize is awarded or redeemed.
PRIZE RESTRICTIONS. Limit of one (1) prize per person/household. Prizes cannot be transferred, assigned, substituted, or redeemed for cash, except at Sponsor’s sole discretion or as otherwise provided in these Rules. Except as expressly set forth in these Rules, Sponsor will determine all details with respect to any prize in its sole discretion. Sponsor will not replace any lost or stolen prize. If any prize is unavailable, Sponsor reserves the right to substitute a prize of equal or greater value (including, without limitation, cash value). No more than the stated number of prizes set forth in these Rules will be awarded. Winning a prize constitutes permission from the receiving prize winner for Sponsor and its agencies to use the prize winner’s name, address (city and state only), voice, and likeness for purposes of advertising, promotion, and publicity, without further compensation, except to the extent prohibited by law.
PRIZE NOTIFICATION & TAXES. Sponsor will notify the potential prize winner(s) by social media message, email, or phone on or about two (2) days after the Sweepstakes Deadline (the “Notice”). The potential prize winner(s) must respond to the Notice within five (5) business days. If any potential prize winner fails to respond to the Notice within five (5) business days, or if Sponsor determines in its sole discretion that any potential prize winner is ineligible in accordance with these Rules, Sponsor will randomly select an alternate potential prize winner from among the remaining non-winning eligible entries.
The value of any prize is taxable as income. Prize winners are solely responsible for any taxes, including (without limitation) all applicable federal, state, and local taxes, that become due with respect to the value of a prize. Any person who wins $600 or more in total prizes from Sponsor in a calendar year will be issued an IRS Form 1099 reporting the value of those prizes to the IRS. Before receiving a prize, a prize winner may be required to provide Sponsor with valid photo identification, a valid taxpayer identification number or social security number, and a completed W9 tax form.
RELEASE & INDEMNITY. Each participating Entrant agrees to release, discharge, indemnify, and hold harmless Sponsor, the Sweepstakes Entities, Meta, Facebook, Instagram, Threads, Twitter, TikTok, and each of their respective officers, directors, employees, representatives, and agents (collectively, the “Released Parties”) from and against any and all liability, damages, cause of action, or other claim related in any way to the operation of this Sweepstakes and any other claims, damages, or liability due to any injuries, damages, or losses to any person (including death) or property of any kind resulting in whole or in part, directly or indirectly, from receipt, acceptance, possession, misuse, or use of a prize or participation in any promotion-related activity or participation in this Sweepstakes. This Sweepstakes is in no way sponsored, endorsed, administered by, or associated with Meta, Instagram, or Twitter.
GENERAL CONDITIONS. Each participating Entrant agrees to be bound by these Rules and all decisions of Sponsor regarding the Sweepstakes, which are final in all respects and not subject to appeal. Failure to comply with these Rules may result in disqualification from this Sweepstakes. Sponsor reserves the right to verify each Entrant’s eligibility and disqualify permanently from this Sweepstakes and any future sweepstakes or giveaway sponsored by Sponsor any Entrant it believes has violated these Rules. Sponsor may prohibit an Entrant from participating in this Sweepstakes or winning a prize if Sponsor determines, in its sole discretion, that the Entrant is attempting to undermine the legitimate operation of this Sweepstakes by cheating, deception, or other unfair playing practices (including, without limitation, the use of automated quick entry programs) or intending to annoy, abuse, threaten, or harass any other Entrant, Sponsor, or any Sweepstakes Entity.
CAUTION: ANY ATTEMPT BY A PERSON TO DELIBERATELY DAMAGE OR UNDERMINE THE LEGITIMATE OPERATION OF THIS SWEEPSTAKES MAY BE IN VIOLATION OF CRIMINAL AND CIVIL LAWS AND SHOULD SUCH AN ATTEMPT BE MADE, SPONSOR RESERVES THE RIGHT TO SEEK REMEDIES AND DAMAGES (INCLUDING, WITHOUT LIMITATION, ATTORNEY’S FEES) FROM ANY SUCH PERSON TO THE FULLEST EXTENT OF THE LAW, INCLUDING (WITHOUT LIMITATION) CRIMINAL PROSECUTION. SPONSOR’S FAILURE TO ENFORCE ANY TERM OF THESE RULES WILL NOT CONSTITUTE A WAIVER OF THESE RULES.
These Rules will control in the event of any conflict or inconsistency with any abbreviated rules or other statements contained in any Sweepstakes-related materials or publications, including (without limitation) any entry form, social media post, advertising, or version of these Rules in a language other than English. All Sweepstakes-related materials are subject to verification and are void to the extent (i) not obtained in accordance with these Rules, (ii) counterfeited, altered, defective, damaged, reproduced, or irregular in any way, or (iii) obtained where legally prohibited. Entrants assume all risk of loss, damage, destruction, delay, or misdirection of Sweepstakes materials submitted to Sponsor. Neither Sponsor nor anyone acting on its behalf will enter into any communications with any Entrant regarding this Sweepstakes except as expressly set forth in these Rules. If this Sweepstakes is compromised to any extent by activities beyond the control of the Sponsor which, in Sponsor’s sole discretion, corrupt or impair the administration, security, or fairness of this Sweepstakes, Sponsor in its sole discretion may modify, suspend, or terminate this Sweepstakes.
Entrants by their participation consent to the exclusive jurisdiction and venue of the federal and state courts located in Travis County, Texas in connection with any causes or controversies arising out of this Sweepstakes. Each Entrant waives any and all objections to jurisdiction and venue in these courts. EACH ENTRANT AGREES THAT ANY AND ALL DISPUTES, CLAIMS, AND CAUSES OF ACTION ARISING OUT OF OR RELATED TO THIS SWEEPSTAKES OR ANY PRIZE WILL BE RESOLVED INDIVIDUALLY, WITHOUT RESORT TO ANY FORM OF CLASS ACTION.
USE OF INFORMATION & DATA. Sponsor may collect information about Entrants in order to administer and communicate about this Sweepstakes, including contact information (such as names and addresses), sensitive personal identifiers (such as social security numbers and driver’s licenses for verifying winners), and any other personal information any Entrant chooses to provide. Sponsor also may use this information for other business purposes, such as legal compliance, internal auditing, and detecting security incidents. Participating Entrants agree that they have read and understand the Hookt Entertainment Privacy Policy, which applies to this Sweepstakes.
PRIZE WINNERS LIST. Sponsor will provide a list of prize winners in connection with this Sweepstakes upon request. To obtain a list of prize winners, or for questions about this Sweepstakes, please send an email to contest@hookyentertainment.com.
